Star Fox 64
Star Fox 64 is widely regarded as the magnum opus of the series. This game is one of the best looking games on the N64, and sold millions. It even set the launch week sales record. SF64 officially introduced Star Wolf and All Range flying as well as the Rumble Pak, which changed the face of gaming to the point where all consoles have rumble in their controllers. The near-perfect controls and fun level design that seems to never get boring have set SF64 as the gold standard for Star Fox games. Sadly, nothing produced since has lived up to this impressive pedigree. Like the original Star Fox, this game was used to test out some ideas for N64 development. In addition to the rumble pak, the game featured experimental lighting and sound engines.
