Star Fox
Star Fox is the game that started it all. Originally just a tech demo, this collaboration between Argonaut and Nintendo evolved into one of the most revolutionary SNES games ever made. It is widely considered to be the first successful 3D console game, and Nintendo launched it with a full-on advertising blitz. This paid off, as Star Fox was a hit. So much so that a sequel was made! Sadly, that sequel was canceled in favor of a Star Fox game for the upcoming Nintendo 64.
